I began to see things in a way that let me hold the world with me in it

I remember the first time I went to the aquarium
I really don’t know why it is that all of us are so committed to the sea, except I think it is because in addition to the fact that the sea changes and the light changes, and ships change, it is because we all came from the sea. And it is an interesting biological fact that all of us have, in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch it we are going back from whence we came.

Do not think you will necessarily be aware of your own enlightenment
I am a forest, and a night of dark trees: but he who is not afraid of my darkness, will find banks full of roses under my cypresses.

Do not think you will necessarily be aware of your own enlightenment
“There is a point at which everything becomes simple and there is no longer any question of choice, because all you have staked will be lost if you look back. Life’s point of no return is everyday..”

- (…) what changed (…) -
Everything changed, the distance that wedged itself between me and my sadness wasn’t half of world distance, it wasn’t the chemicals or the burning buildings, it was me, my thinking, the cancer of never letting go. Is ignorance bliss? I don’t know, but it’s so painful, and tell me, what did not acting ever do for me, to what great place did being still ever bring me?
